Punk rock is a form of simple or rather just full of rough guitar riffs. Their music could be wreckage with anger. The vocal might just sounds way horrible, but the truth is punk rock has many messages behind their songs. Started in 70s, punk rock has contributed many different aspects of subculture. For example, they way people dress with punk look and crazy hair style. I like punk bands with messages for people about social problems. Just like The Clash. The Clash was formed in U.K. despite the fact that they are punk band; they have experimented with many different kinds of genre such as reggae, ska, and new wave. One of the songs I would like to talk about is called “The Clampdown.” Simple drum beats along with constant funky tune of bass keeps the song exciting while Joe Strummer, vocal of this band rocks out. Just like many punk rock bands, this song is about fight against governments’ policies and how they oppress people that way. I like this song very much because it makes me feel like I’m the odd against the world, but yet I know I’m right and no one can’t stop me!

Another band I like to talk about is Sex Pistols. Once again they are from Great Britain. They are infamous for their outrage performance on the stage. Even though they only had 1 album, they are still considering one of the most influential punk bands up to this date. They are effort for bringing Punk rock into mainstream, and their shocking behavior caught the people’s attention. “God save the Queen” is about anarchism. With this kind of message, many people were shocked and at the same time they like how freely express their feelings and thoughts. With massive unemployment especially among the youths during this particular time in U.K. “NO Future for you” is one of the verses in this song and as you noticed this fits perfect with the mind of crowds that time which is probably why it was so popular then. It made it up to chart #2 in U.K. Many of these youth groups have this comment anger. Syd Vicious screams out his voice with simple notes of guitar with explosive drum beats
